LITA FORD will release her first new studio album in fourteen years "Wicked Wonderland" in Europe on Oct. 2 via earMUSIC/Edel. The CD will be issued in the U.S. on Oct. 6 through Lita's own JLRG Entertainment label. The track listing for the CD is as follows:

The record has been co-produced by Ford, her husband and former NITRO singer, Jim Gillette, and Greg Hampton (songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer of u.w. ALICE COOPER, etc.). Lita is backed on the record by drummer Stet Howland (formerly of W.A.S.P.), Hampton on bass, rhythm guitar and keyboards, Gillette on background vocals, and its vivid cover art is by ROB ZOMBIE bassist and solo artist Piggy D.

LITA FORD has announced her current lineup for touring and recording. It is as follows: Stet Howland (W.A.S.P.) on drums; Teddy Cook (DIO) on bass; Michael T. Ross (HARDLINE, ANGEL) on keyboards & Tom Cavanagh (ALMOST QUEEN, BENT PUSSYCAT) on guitar. She will play at least a couple of warm-up shows for her upcoming Rocklahoma appearance. Lita is apparently being billed as 'the Lita Ford tribute act' KISS ME DEADLY for these special performances, which will kick off in early July. So far the following dates have been announced:

LITA FORD has signed a deal with Coallier Entertainment, the New York-based company, whose list of clients include such artists as TWISTED SISTER and SEBASTIAN BACH. In a statement released by Lita regarding her comeback performance in July, she had this to say: "It's been way too long since I've rocked a crowd. Broke out my axe and turned it up loud. Always in my heart, forever in my soul. On July 11th, I'm gonna rock 'n' roll. At Rocklahoma I'll hit the stage with thousands of you maniacs."
The ROCKLAHOMA festival will be held July 10-13, 2008 at the Catch The Fever Festival Grounds, four miles north of Pryor, Oklahoma. TRIUMPH and EXTREME are among the bands reuniting with all or most of their original lineups for this year's festival, which will also feature sets from NIGHT RANGER, CINDERELLA, TESLA, ARMORED SAINT, L.A. GUNS and many more. More than 85 bands will perform on three giant stages throughout the four days with several more big names to be added in the coming weeks.

JOAN JETT will executive produce a planned movie about her 1970’s all-girl band, THE RUNAWAYS, according to Variety [www.variety.com].
Floria Sigismondi will write and direct "Neon Angels", adapted from an unpublished memoir by lead singer Cherie Currie, that delves into the band’s sex, drugs, and rock and roll lifestyle.
Producers Art and John Linson have secured music rights that will accent the tale of the five female teenage musicians brought together in 1975 by music producer Kim Fowley, undeniably leaving a legacy for future generations of female rockers.
The original line-up for the band’s eponymous 1976 debut album and its follow-up "Queens of Noise" consisted of Currie, Jett on rhythm guitar, Lita Ford on lead guitar, Jackie Fox on bass, and Sandy West (who died from lung cancer last October) on drums.
While the underage ladies were no doubt capable musicians with well-written tunes — most notably their hit “Cherry Bomb” — their skimpy on-stage attire saddled them with a 'jailbait' tag. This made it difficult for people to take their music seriously, especially in the United States. Though THE RUNAWAYS had greater success in countries like England, Japan, and Scandinavia, they broke up in 1979 and Jett went on to achieve solo success.
Jett’s longtime manager-producer Kenny Laguna, along with Brian Young, will also executive produce the film, which will be financed independently to allow for an R-rated and edgy drama, factors that were important to Jett and Currie.

TWISTED SISTER has released "A Twisted Christmas" in December through Razor & Tie music. The album includes twelve tracks, and features Lita Ford on vocals in "I'll Be Home For Christmas".
